The story still went on ....
I guess this Valentine's day still has its magical moments.
Remember when Ezekiel said that he would make a 'tulip' flower from origami paper for his teacher? "Because I love her and I want to make her happy", he said. That night after our special candle-light-instant- noodles-and-CocaCola dinner, I reminded him about his promise. He then argued with his mom about how to make this origami flower. It ended up with him saying, "I'll do it tomorrow."
Well, I thought he was not going to make it. Just another kid's promise that would end up as 'Later' answer.
It then turned out that he did make a 'tulip' flower from origami paper. He gave one to his amazed teacher. He even gave her another chocolate. And to make the story even better. He showed his skills with origami paper to his friends and gave some to them. Plane, flower, samurai hat, and some other models.
Ezekiel said, "I don't go outside of the classroom during break. I stayed in the classroom and make those origami models. It's fun. I gave the flower to my teacher. My friends also like it. So I made some to them. I had fun."
GREAT JOB, MY SON.

Valentine's Effect - continued
So, the story went on ...
Still on february 14th, 2014.
After hours accompanying me (his dad) at office; this has been a routine for Ezekiel after spending great times at school, Zeki and I were so happy to arrive home and being greeted by a sweet smile from mama. Hmmm.... another Valentine's effect, I suspect.
Jumping from his seat, Zeki then ran to his mom and started telling her about what happened at school earlier. His eyes shone as he shared the story.
Mama and daddy were so happy and so proud of you, Ezekiel.
Mama: "Wow, I am so proud of you Ezekiel. You know what, I've got chocolates for you."
Ezekiel: "Yeee....."
Mama: "And I also got a chocolate for you daddy."
I was blushing because I didn't have anything for mama..Shame on me.
Daddy: "Thank you so much mama. I am very sorry I don't have any chocolate for you. I love you."
Mama: "It's okay, daddy. You are already a precious gift for me."
Daddy: "Well, I know that we have no meals for dinner tonight. You know what, let's cook instant noodles (indomie goreng lagi) and have our candle light dinner."
Mama: "OK."
Ezekiel: "Good. It will be great."
So, it happened. Together, hand in hand, we cooked the instant noodles with great love. Zeki helped us in and out, while also being busy with his toys. After finished cooking, we set the table, put the noodles accompanied with Coca Cola, put the candles and lit them, then turned off the light. Perfect dinner for a happy family on a great day. We chatted about what took place on this special day and we made an oath that we will do this kind of candle light dinner on every February 14th.
During the dinner ...
Ezekiel: "Wow. This is so romantic."
Mama and daddy: "How did you get that word?", we asked almost at the same time.
Ezekiel: "Hmmmmm.... I don't know. I just know it."
So, eventually, on February 14th, 2014, Zeki officially mentioned the word 'romantic', adding another marvelous word in his personal dictionary.

Super-boy revelead his future..!
Super-boy revelead his future..!
Yesterday, he challenged to make this cute T-Rex for me. During that time, we had a little chit-chat about something in the future. Though I already knew the answer from his dad, but I think there’s no harm to ask directly to him J
Me: “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
Him: “I want to work here”
Me: “Hmm, why do you want to work here?”
Him: “I want to work in the office”
Me: “So, do you mean that you want to be like your dad?”
Him: “Yes and I can’t wait to work!” [lalu bertanya apakah dia bisa membuat ekor T-Rex dari kertas putih]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Me: “Why do you want to be like your dad? How about to be a manager or country director?”
Him: “What is country director?”
Me: “It’s a leader of this office. You will also have chance to travel to other places”
Him: “Urgh, I don’t want to travel. I want to stay here in the office”
Me: “Like your dad. He travel a lot, right?”
Him: *mumbling* “yeaah..” [gak yakin apakah ini bentuk complain ke daddy-nya juga :)]
Me: “So, it means to me that you want to work in the office just like me”
Him: “Yes, staying here”
Me: “But travelling is fun too. You can meet with a lot of people in some places and some countries”
Him: “It’s booorrriiinnngg... I will get boring on the plane until I sick. I don’t want to go to other country. It’s super lame. I just want to be here” [copas kata-katanya persis]
Me: *sigh*
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Masih sibuk dengan gunting dan kertas origami hijau sebagai kakinya T-Rex]
Me: “How about to become like your mom?”
Him: “My mom is a teacher. She’s not working here”
Me: “Yeah, I know. I mean, you don’t want to be a teacher like your mom?”
Him: “No” [agak cuek karena tetap konsentrasi dengan T-Rex buatannya]
Me: “Why?”
Him: “Coz you won’t get fired”
Me: *shock* “Heh, fired..?? What do you mean? You want to get fired when you work?”
Him: “I mean, they don’t have break” [gak yakin maksudnya istirahat yang mana. Mommy, ini curhatan anakmu :D]
Me: *smiling on my face tapi LOL dalam hati. Buat dia supaya bisa ada waktu luang perlu “get fired” kali ya*rofl
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Tiba-tiba ribut minta spidol untuk warnai tubuhnya T-Rex sambil ngomong “come on, you supposed to have green marker”, setelah gw bilang hanya punya spidol merah. Akhirnya stabilo hijau-pun jadi pilihan satu-satunya]
Me: “Hey ,you are so good in painting. Don’t you think to become a painter?”
Him: “No. it’s booorring [jawaban andalannya. Bahkan gw pun pernah dibilang boring >_<. all="" job="" is="" boring="" but="" compassion...awesoomme..=""></.>
Me: *smiling for the certain times* “Well, you are also so creative and smart. Why don’t you become a scientist?”
Him: “No. I like my job here”
Me: *kinda shocked and frowned* “You like your job here? What is it? [sambil flashback “kerjaannya apa ya? Kalo gak minta permen, ngumpulin permen lalu masukin ke toples gw. Lumayanlah”
[Pertanyaan yang tak digubris. But you might surprise with this one]
Him: “Compassion is the life” [dengan bangga dan tampang serius sambil mengangkat T-Rex yang hampir selesai]
Me: *silent and contemplating for a moment* “How about to become a president? The president of Indonesia!” [mata gw berbinar]
Him: “Oh, that’s awesome..” [mata gw tambah berbinar. Tuh kan, akhirnya…] “..but super lame” *gubrak* T_T
Me: “But he’s the leader….” [belum juga selesai berargumen, dia memotong]
Him: “Yeaah, but I don’t want to be a boss. It’s boring because they have to say this, say that.. they have to command everything” [kali ini dia yang tadinya duduk udah berdiri dan pake gaya nunjuk sana sini dengan tampang yang seolah berkata “duh, lu tuh bawel amat. Udah dibilang semua kerjaan boring”]
Me: …krriikk..krriikkk…krriikkk... [diselingi bendera putih]
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Tiba-tiba….]
Him: “Why do you ask this question?” [gw kaget, sempat bingung mau jawab apa]
Me: “Nothing. I’m just curious”
Him: “oke” [seolah-olah gak ada yang terjadi, hufftt..]

Origami
February is all about ORIGAMI.
I get so addicted to this paper folding skill that I take used paper from Dad's office.
I also asked my mom and dad to buy me origami paper.
Pictures of my masterpieces are coming soon.

Valentine's effect
Thursday, February 14th, 2014.
10:15 AM.
Another routine day of fetching Ezekiel from school.
Ezekiel: Climbing to his seat on the car. "Daddy, kiapa Zeki nyanda ba kase coklat dang pa ibu guru?"
Daddy: "Ada apa so?" (forgetting that today is Valentine's Day)
Ezekiel: "Ini dang hari apa kote?"
Daddy: (just realized) "Adoh iyo kote.. today is Valentine's Day. You didn't tell me earlier that you wanted to give a chocolate to your teacher."
Ezekiel: "I told you this morning but you were not listening to me. You were busy doing another thing. Daddy kwa ada ba marah-marah no."
Daddy: "I am so sorry Ezekiel for that. I am very sorry. Daddy kwa ada ba upset this morning. But it's too late. We should have bought the chocolate last night."
Ezekiel: "Zeki malo skali soalnya Zeki nyanda ba kase pa ibu guru." Saying this with a very sad face while looking through the car's window over her teacher who is talking with another teacher at the school yard.
Daddy: (feeling very very very guilty) "Ok then. Turning off the car's engine. Manjo dang torang pigi di warung situ. Then let's find some chocolates for your teacher."
Ezekiel: Very excited, unfasten the seat belt "Ow, OK. That's good. Let's go."
At the kiosk near the school ......
Daddy: "Go and ask for some chocolates. And I think you also need to give one to your 1st grade teacher who is talking with your teacher now."
Ezekiel: Happily saying ... "OK." Then, "Mo beli coklat."
Man: "Yahh... Nyanda ada coklat. Biasa ja sadia banyak coklat. Mar so abis."
Ezekiel: So upset. Turning his back while looking at me. "Yaahhhhh..."
Daddy: "Manjo torang pigi lia di warung laeng. Sapa tau ada." That feeling of being so guilty strikes again. We then walked outside of the kiosk.
Ezekiel: "Daddy, why don't we buy Tango? There is chocolate inside."
Daddy: Amazed with Zeki's thought. "Are you sure?" Saying to myself that Tango is too cheap for a gift.
Ezekiel: "Yes. Tango jo."
Daddy: "Ok then. if you say so."
Inside of the same kiosk.
Ezekiel: To the man, "Mo beli Tango dang."
Daddy: "Why not giving two Tango to each of your teacher."
Ezekiel: "Ok."
Man: "Empat ribu semua."
Zeki then happily takes the 'chocolate' Tango with a beautiful smile on his face.
Daddy: "You need to give these to your teacher and then say Happy Valentine's Day to them."
Ezekiel: "Nyanda. Zeki mo bilang jo depe bahasa Indonesia. Bilang apa kote itu Daddy?"
Daddy: Oh iyo. Bilang Selamat Hari Kasih Sayang."
Zeki then dashes to her teachers who are talking at the school yard and still wondering why we haven't left yet. Then they see Zeki running to them. Some students are also looking at him now because .... I don't know why .... But many people are looking at him now.
Then I see him giving the chocolate Tango to her teachers. They are stunned. Well, me too. I have never seen him so happy giving something to other people. I think her teacher is also so happy. I even think that tears are on their way to pour on her face.
Ezekiel: "Selamat Hari Kasih Sayang, ibu guru."
Teacher: "Adooo....makase banya Zeki." With a beautiful smile on her face, she then takes Zeki's hand and pull him closer to her so that she can hold him. They are holding. Then Zeki pats her teacher's back.
Daddy: To the teacher ... "Somo pigi kwa tadi kong Zeki minta beli akang coklat supaya mo kase pa ibu kata. So nyanda dapa bli tadi malam. Cuma dapa bli Tango."
Teacher: "Makase banyak ne Zeki. Nyanda apa-apa biar cuma tango."
We then leave the school, feeling happy, satisfied, and joyful.
Ezekiel: "Daddy, I am going to make a flower with origami paper then I will give it to her tomorrow. I like the teacher. I will remember her always."
